Value of the month: the coexistence

Owing to the finish of the month, a short performance by some teachers of the school such as Camilo Aramendiz, Marcela Polanco, Carlos Rave, among others, was realized with one goal: respect the differents ways of thinking. So, is important make a mental switch respect that.

The new Pope

Francis (born Jorge Mario Bergoglio on 17 December 1936) is the 266th and current Pope of the Catholic Church, elected on 13 March 2013. As such, he is Bishop of Rome, the head of the worldwide Catholic Church and sovereign of the Vatican City State.

Born in Buenos Aires of Italian descent, Bergoglio worked briefly as a chemical technician before entering seminary; he was ordained in 1969. From 1973 to 1979 he was Argentina's Provincial superior of the Society of Jesus, became Archbishop of Buenos Aires in 1998, and was created cardinal in 2001. Following the resignation of Pope Benedict XVI, on 13 March 2013 the papal conclave elected Bergoglio, who chose the papal name Francis in honour of Saint Francis of Assisi. Bergoglio is the first Jesuit pope; the first pope from the Americas, and the first pope from the Southern Hemisphere.
Throughout his life, both as an individual and a religious leader, he has been known for his humility, his concern for the poor, and his commitment to dialogue as a way to build bridges between people of all backgrounds, beliefs, and faiths. Since his election to the papacy, he has displayed a simpler and less formal approach to the office, including a decision to reside in the Vatican guesthouse rather than the papal residence used by his predecessors since 1903.

School Government's Election

On March eighth we elected our new representative for this year. We think, the democratic activity is very productive because, when we will be eighteen we are going to vote and it won't be strange for us. The winner of this election was David Guarin, his task is represent us (as students) to the principal.

Women's day

In our school, the women's day is a so special celebration. The women are those people who give us (as men) feelings such us happiness or bliss. In tenth grade five, we are lucky because come with beautiful girls for this reason, we thought they merit an exclusive commemoration, so we celebrated it outside in the Christian's house.

Maya Angelou is an influential African American author, who has written numerous books of her early experiences as an African American female. Angelou’s poem ‘phenomenal woman’ recognizes the beauty and strength in all women.
Now you understand
Just why my head’s not bowed.
I don’t shout or jump about
Or have to talk real loud.
When you see me passing
It ought to make you proud.
I say,
It’s in the click of my heels,
The bend of my hair,
the palm of my hand,
The need of my care,
‘Cause I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.
